College buddy at Walt Disney World — Dear Son, have a few great friends from your HS and College years. Yesterday met up with Rick and his wife Jacquelyn – Mom and i have known them since 1979.

Told our Son last night, “You have to come to your own conclusions about how to live your life and what components of your life will be the most important.

Here are a couple hints:

Eventually your goal is 100% conviction
Balance mind, body, spirit, money, and hq
Be so convinced you would defend your convictions with your life
Be sure your convictions bring you: peace in your soul, joy in your spirit and love in your heart

And finally, you’ll want to arrive at a place where everyday, you are living in constant gratitude and if today was your final day, you’d be at peace.

Had wanted to visit Prince of Wales Hotel since the first time i saw a photograph of it, maybe 45 years ago. Our day trip intervened future disappointment. I thought it was in the middle of nowhere much like Lake McDonald Lodge. While not in the middle of nowhere, it was not crowded. Cheryl spotted a bear 12 feet away as we pulled into the hotel.

We metaphorically put the most important thing up on a pedestal.

Another option is to wear a manifestation of it (crucifix) around our neck.

Or we can have our every step proclaim what’s most important to us.

Flashback: i used to take my crucifix off when “wrestling/playing” on the floor with our two-year old. One day i left it off for two years. A reminder that he won’t know what i value by what i wear, only by what i do.

Florida vulture at trash can — Yesterday was the first time i’ve ever seen a vulture rummaging through trash. Not part of the natural ecosystem.

Are you unwilling to be comfortable?

To feel comfortable we are steadfastly moving from selfish to selfless.

To feel comfortable we are living without the desire for material possessions.

To feel comfortable that our peace and contentment is our driving ambition.

To know that we are loved.

To be comfortable loving without expectation.

Am i unwilling or willing?

Totally willing.
