Why would we choose the most difficult alternative?

Child's 1973 achievement certificate
In 1972, a lifetime ago, i won a trip to Disneyland.

Of course, it’s hard to make consistently great life choices.

What the heck though.

Isn’t it equally as difficult living with poor choices?

By the way, this applies to our spiritual health as much as it applies to our physical health.

So given the choice, why would we choose the most difficult alternative?

Dear Son, thank you for running for you

Isaiah 30:15
Everyone has their reasons. It’s not ours to judge, but only to learn from.

Waiting at the one and two miles marks (20 feet apart) to call out splits, i saw Isaiah 30:15.

Passion and purpose take many forms.

Doesn’t matter what we choose, as long as we choose.

Thank you for choosing to accept and believe the reason you are running is because you want to, not because you think i want you to.

Thinking and believing with conviction is at the heart of a life with fewer regrets – and possibly at the end, zero regrets.

There’s always a chance

Inspirational speaker jeff noel
You are the CEO of You, Inc. Plus, it’s great karma to help as many others as you can.

There’s a chance all you need to facilitate transformation is to be an encourager for others (and yourself) instead of a being task master.

There’s also a chance nothing will get done if you don’t drive others (and yourself) to excellence.

The Grace of unpredictability

Nelson Mandela quote
Randomly taken photo a few days ago.

The Grace (unmerited favor) of unpredictability.

Being turned down for a reason you never saw coming is Grace. Why? You are being given a wonderful opportunity to learn and react. But only if you see it that way. Otherwise, it’s failure at best and devastation at worst.

We should be thankful to be offered a reason. Many never know.

A decade from now we’ll wish we had started this year

A decade from now we’ll wish we had started this year.

Volunteering more.

Showing compassion more often.

Eliminating judgement of others.

Smiling and saying something nice to more people more often.

Downshifting our hurried pace.
