Life is fair

Logan Pass Visitors Center
Traffic is constant from West Glacier to Logan Pass Visitor Center. Small parking lot fills by 7:45 AM.
The most heavily trafficked trail and only a few hundred meters from one of the least trafficked trails. Photo: from the unknown trail.
Not a soul on our trail.

Life is fair in that it is unfair to everyone.

Accept this and do the best you can.

One person’s trash is another’s treasure and vice versa.

Chief Mountain
Chief Mountain is stunning.

Details are important – they solve the what and how.

The big picture is what solves the why.

Great personal leadership requires each of us to identify our why.

Without your why, you are a ship without a rudder.

Go the extra inch

note card
Do not wait to be happy. Be present. Be grateful. Happiness arrives in these moments.
note card
Belief and motivation are the twin siblings for personal vibrancy.
Rising Sun Motor Inn room
Imagine the housekeepers arriving to clean this room. i hope they smile at how nice the room looks before they begin cleaning it for the new Guests.

Serving others is one of life’s hacks to find meaning and purpose in your life.

Go the extra inch and leave things nicer than people expect.

i didn’t clean the room, but i tidied it up to a degree that is remarkable.

Why?

Because i could.

And because it felt good to serve others i will never meet.

Doing your best is all a parent can ask

We started somewhere near four-plus miles away from this Beargrass.
Never gets old because we’ve never seen it this prolific.
“Main Street, USA””, National Park style.
A different perspective.
The trail was decently busy but not over-crowded.

Doing your best is all a parent can ask of their child(ren).

What the child(ren) does from there is entirely up to her or him.

Glacier karma

Minutes after breakfast at St Mary Lodge 300 meters down the hill. Photo: From Gunsight Cottage.

Glacier karma.

Two nights ago we were first in the restaurant. This facilitated impromptu conversation time with our waitress. We knew immediately that she has a generous and deep spirit.

For breakfast yesterday she served us again.

The karma was even stronger. And as i was still solving for who can we gift a Granite Park Chalet reservation to, after having six others love the offer but unable to accept, it hit me – Kamille.

An hour after the gift invitation she confirmed she could do it on one day’s notice.

In the giving, i received.

And so it will be with you, my Son.
