In the spirit of personal development…

Ask these questions instead of the opposite, and traditional, questions adults ask kids and teens.

What did you disagree with today?

What did you fail at this week?

How would you solve this problem?

Great question. Why don’t you figure out the answer?

What would it take to do that?

How did you help someone today?

Belief is a virus

At 7:15am yesterday, a Saturday, i waited outside for a moment.

Cheryl was returning to the house to pickup something i had just printed. Chapin was taking SATs and his digital registration (we only print if it’s required) wasn’t accepted by the school. They wanted a physical document.

Belief is a virus.

Worry begets worry.

Hope begets hope.

Like a virus, either place (worry or hope) we focus on will grow and fester rapidly and for a lifetime – if we let it.

Let it.

And choose wisely.

PS. Less than 24 hours ago, i can’t recall what led me to look up. Must be some type of virus.

You drink without concern or effort

i know, i know, you’re really busy…
Who isn’t?
Go, race through your day.
No worries.
So glad i decided to watch this 3-minute video.
For a moment, a felt insanely privileged to drink without concern or effort.

PS. Who’s the most grateful and forgiving person you know?

How dare you think this way

In any language, the message below means the same thing.

How dare you think this way, and then not dare to think this way every single day you are alive…

The gospel says you are more sinful and flawed than you ever dared believe, but more accepted and loved than you ever dared hope.” – Timothy Keller

Everyone should be perfect except you because…

Most of us believe our Country shouldn’t do anything that would be bad for our Country.

No brainer.

Common sense.

In fact, doing something bad for our Country goes against the core of who you are.

No argument there.

And yet, if you asked yourself the same question, “Is this choice I’m about to make bad for me?”, it’s astonishing how your karma, conviction, and commitment to doing what’s good and right has no less meaning.

Literally, no meaning.

So trivial in fact, you rationalize and do the bad things.

You know the list.

Why is this so?

Dude, be careful. you’re poisoning your life.
