About the only thing powerful enough to get our medicated, distracted, and entertained attention is a bring-you-to-your-knees wake up call.
To remember what it was like to be poorer, less educated, inexperienced, and uncertain is to now be able to appreciate how far God has come in our life.
Let what i need be small and insignificant.
Let what i can offer God be big and wonderfully significant.

The strong and healthy have no need of a physician. In our strenuous and constant efforts to find peace and contentment in God, we may actually drift too far from shore. Stormy weather wakes us up to understand, once again, the danger of being too far away.
