Imagine attending Church with wearing headphones.

Sacrilegious?

Nope.

Creative.

And ‘protectively’ healthy.

Unmoved by rules

Not a Disney character, yet as important as, or more important than, Mickey Mouse to some people.

Unmoved by rules.

Religion has rules and mandates.

The Universe just is, without rules, covenants, tradition.

While you can’t control that the “law” of gravity will plummet you to your death from a steep cliff, you can avoid the steep cliff to begin with.

Discern dogma and think of a bigger Universe than the walls, halls and “laws” of a religion.

Love, Hope, Faith, Forgiveness, Surrender, Generosity, Kindness, Patience, Joy, Peace…these are the Toy Stories, Cars, Bug’s Life, Moana, Up, and Coco’s of the Universe.

Highly discouraged

Disney’s Hollywood Studios motorcycle parking. Yesterday.

Security Officer Greg (22 years of service) and Brian (parking/security leader at Epcot) clarified that while bicycling on property is strongly discouraged, it is legal to do so.

My only “legal” requirement is to avoid “Authorized Vehicles Only” (AVO) roads with the main exception being the North property exit passing Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or passing Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

These two northbound exits have AVO signs which do not apply to their official request.

In our closing conversations, and at our mutually agreeable verbal clarification – around 9:30AM in the Epcot Guest parking lot (near “handicapped” parking) – i am free to ride Northbound past either The Contemporary or Grand Floridian unto AVO roads in order to exit by Disney University. The church marriage video only captured same-sex marriages

Magic The gathering card game
Yesterday afternoon we played Magic: The Gathering card game.

 

At 8:45AM Mass yesterday, Chapin and i sat a few rows back from the front and center. We normally sit in the last row, far left.

Five minutes before Mass began, the lights dimmed with no announcement and a five-minute Marriage video began playing on the large wall.

The church marriage video only captured same-sex marriages.

Afterward, i leaned over and whispered to Chapin, “There were only same-sex couples.”

Can you imagine Jesus telling two people (of any combination) who love each other they shouldn’t spend their lives together in an official (commitment) union?

Seriously.

Can you?
