Clarity is power

vision, mission, brand
From three years ago.

Do you see the time you use for spiritual maintenance and renewal as an expense to be managed or as a non-negotiable investment?

Our spirit is like shooting basketball free throws

Disney Keynote Speakers
University of Iowa, a few years ago. We get better at laughing when we do it a lot. Even when we are at work.

Our spirit is like shooting basketball free throws.

We improve with practice.

We improve if we follow through.

We improve when we are in a community (team) of like-minded people.

Attending Church is like a team practice.

Team (and solo) practices are also held wherever you are.

Every day.

All day.

Inspiration is derived from emotion

detachment
Yesterday another random find on Pinterest. Spiritual strength is required for detachment and healthy, balanced living. Detachment and serenity are twins.

Listening to a podcast yesterday on balance i was struck by the absence (in the podcast message) of any sort of spiritual element.

Perhaps this omission is driven by the adage, “At work, never talk about sex, politics, or religion.”

What else could it be?

Spiritual awareness, spiritual values, and spiritual action.

Inspiration is derived from emotion.

Emotion is to spirit as movement is to health.

Foundational.

Necessary.

Non-negotiable.

Habits make who you become and who you stay

Sheraton Baltimore North
On this Sunday morning, 1,000 miles away from home, we are not attending a church service.

Habits make who you become and who you stay.

What holds you back from starting every day in prayer?

And what, if anything, would allow this habit to succeed or not succeed?

All you have to do is spend one minute (or more), in some way (bended knees?), soon after you awake.

How hard is that?

Why aren’t you doing it?

Ps. Assuming you aren’t. i was born at night, but i wasn’t born last night.

Pss. Probably the biggest ROI for the 60 seconds you spend.

Become irrationally spiritual

The video above is the longer version of the 45-second Twitter snippet i watched last night.

The takeaway for me is being irrational.

Become irrationally spiritual.

Your spirit at your place of worship (whatever form that takes), is most likely decent.

What is your spirit at work?

Is it contagious?

Critical to know that enthusiasm and lack of enthusiasm are both highly contagious.

Does your spirit soar irrationally?

Do you see yourself as irrationally spiritual?
