We would not have been able to see St Mary Lake while hiking if not for last year’s fire.
Nor would we have seen the sky.
Nor the water.
We wouldn’t have seen across St Mary Lake either.
But there would have been occasional openings like this one.
Nature and fires started by lightning are synonymous.

St Mary Falls was nice and with just another .6-mile we’d get to enjoy Virginia Falls. The additional .6-hike was not part of the Ranger led program. We did it anyway. How could we not. The extra two-plus hour detour was within our budget.

What should we do when we love something yet it may be silently overwhelming us, or at the very least, it holds us back from our full potential because of the travel time required?
What if we could slay the travel time excuse and create a remarkable opportunity?
There’s a Church adjacent to our subdivision. It’s a three-minute drive, two minutes of which are required to exit our driveway and get to the main highway. It’s literally a minute away.
Our current Church is 20 minutes away and we have loved being a part of that community since 1999. i hate the thought of leaving.
i love the thought of being a minute away and the possibilities proximity holds.

Yesterday morning, 6:30am, on 5-mile road. He’s the reason i write five blogs a day.
The goal has multiple targets.
Developing personal responsibility
Physical wellness
Spiritual awareness
Learning to organize a busy schedule with top priorities
Identifying life’s five top priorities
Creating a nucleus of close friends from which to start 10th grade, only 25 days away
There were a few times when i looked down at the other end of the breakfast table and saw all the high schoolers listening to our son. This is a big deal.

First time running two miles continuously. The usual one mile warm up, a short break, and then a 1.1 mile second half.
At Disney i labeled these “seemingly insignificant” events.
They seem insignificant, but they are anything but.
Be a noticer and rejoice in what you notice, even the small stuff.
