Bears gotta eat

Random photo from yesterday’s drive. 

The Park Ranger (above photo) led hikers past the Grizzly. Glacier’s most popular trail had come to a halt. No one was comfortable simply hiking past a Grizzly. 

But the Ranger apparently was. The Grizzly did a bluff-charge body fake. Stopped everyone in their tracks. i then had to drive our car from a stopped position and missed what happened next.

Two people with different abilities, goals, comfort levels. Each must rely on the other for patience. In a lifelong relationship. On a challenging trail. Patient is a virtue.

Much better than expected

Fire is a servant to Nature. Creativity and risk taking are servants to leaders. You’re the CEO of You, Inc. Serve yourself. 
  • If you discount stormy weather and don’t venture out, you miss the great drama by not being there. 
  • Transitions between weather systems are often some of the most stunning scenery changes.
  • Wild Goose Island. Dramatic. We stopped here twice yesterday. Nearly fell asleep napping here. The unexpected light rain is to blame.

Dogs may be Earth’s brightest and bravest example of unconditional love. Pay attention to them. Love them back. Be present enough and brave enough to apply your learnings to human relationships.

Polebridge has a vibe

These signature huckleberry bearclaw pastries take you to the great beyond. 

Polebridge Mercantile was built in 1914. Glacier became a National Park in 1910.  

The Huckleberry bear-claw pastry is Polebridge’s signature offering. 

The sugary treat absolutely produces a brain-high. For a habitual sweet tooth person, it’s heaven on earth. 

So many are searching for escape from life’s pressures and pain. 

Pro tip: Polebridge and huckleberry bearclaws ain’t it.
