Pausing to count the blog posts.

Every once in a while i think about it.

Nine years and almost seven months and counting – one day at a time.

Pausing this morning in Towson, Maryland.

Keep your light shining bright

Ponce Inlet lighthouse
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse last night.

Patio lights
Note to self…look for these patio lights…photo from Rick and Jacquelyn’s house last night.

Keep your light shining bright.

Last night i took these two photographs randomly.

And in the darkness of a new day (today, right now), they have become the common thread in this message:

Keep your light shining brightly.

It’s your responsibility to be an example and to let your light shine brightly so others can see the peace, joy, and love you get from Jesus.

The conditions are nothing i could have planned for

The conditions are nothing i could have planned for.

Not the cooler and wetter weather – that’s easy to plan for.

The Howe Ridge fire.

Going-To-The-Sun-Road is closed from Apgar to Logan Pass.

What would have been an hour drive up from Apgar is now a 2.5 to 3-hour drive around the East side and up.

There are also potential closures of Many Glacier Hotel and Granite Park Chalet.

For now, i’ve moved the Apgar accommodations to the East side.

Time will tell.

Just another ordinary Mother’s day

A moment in time while driving home from an errand on Mother’s Day.

homeowner issues
The well motor is 26 years old. It’s running continuously. When the pump motor malfunctions, there’s no water in the house.

car accident near Disney
Enlarged the screen shot i took earlier.

Bear Grass
Watched a Glacier National Park video last night.

Just another ordinary Mother’s day.

Facebook can be brutal on traditional American holidays if you’re not careful.

Lots of comparison going on – mostly subconsciously.

It’s the main reason i turned off notifications five months ago.

In order for me to know what’s going on in someone’s life, i need to type in their name on Facebook, call them, text them, or email them.

i’m good with this.

Lean into discomfort daily (and all day)

southwest plane issues
Without thinking about the location, i sat here.

Lean into discomfort daily (and all day).

Coming off a spectacular day of firsts and calculated risks at Universal Studios two days ago, i challenged myself to sit in a window seat.

Years ago, i gave up my go-to choice (window seat) in favor of an aisle seat.

Yesterday, i was intent on taking a trip down memory lane.

Being in the Southwest Airlines A-group, i was one of the first to board and had unlimited choices.

As we were about to take off, it hit me.

The pilot announced there were roughly 100 empty seats.

When the seat belt sign was turned off, i moved to the third row from the rear, aisle seat.
