Decided to try the untried

When is it safe to take risks?

All three hospitals are about the same distance from home, however the third one is at the center of where we spend a decent amount of time:

  1. Florida Hospital Celebration Health
  2. Health Central
  3. Dr Phillips Hospital

Having used the first two before on multiple occasions, decided to try the untried.

We never talk about ‘religion’

Mid Life Celebration graphic design
Epcot celebrates what unites us and what makes us different

Mid Life Celebration’s graphic designer is Jewish.

We never talk about ‘religion’.

Why should we?

It’s a business relationship and the clock ticks every time we meet at his house studio.

So there’s no opportune time. It’s not the focus.

No more than us doing pushups or stretching to stay fit during our sessions.

To make one another feel awkward about our unwavering beliefs would be so uncomfortable.

Fellow Christians, telling someone else they are ‘wrong’ is no different than someone else telling us we are wrong.

How is that even remotely fair?

So don’t do it.

In fact, it’s best to create a habit were we don’t even think it. Anymore. Ever.

Got a minute?

Church steeple in Iowa City, iowa
Out for a run yesterday, counted hundreds of blessings

Got a minute? Just one minute, maybe even a little bit less than that…

Often challenging to focus on what’s just ahead of us, let alone 10-30 years down the road.

Did you start your day on your knees?

What is a miracle?

Sermon notes
Notes for a speech (circa 2011)

Sure, the number is well over one million people since 1999. Speaking adds up when you do it for career work, your Church, and your start-up business.

Yet it’s the audience from ages five to 10 – those spending their days in Kindergarten through fifth grade – that seem the most important to reach.

The seeds planted with them have extraordinary power.

Yet what seems like unlimited power to a young child begins fading at some point in life… and insidiously becomes defused and forgotten in adults.

Great to know exceptions still occur though.
