Day 27 WGcab, spirit

Apple Watch and trailhead sign
2:15pm trail head return. My math says we were in the wild 5.5 hours.

Only took 80 minutes to descend.

We spent a bucketload of time mountain-gazing.

Maybe we were mountain-gating.

Doesn’t matter.

We were enthralled with the vistas.

Day 25 WGcab, spirit

Mountain road
Oberlin. Again. Fav. Way different angle than normal.

Spark curiosity and inspire people to explore new ideas.

Wisdom: Start with yourself first.

Day 23 WGcab, spirit

36-second video: Exotic. Diverse. Endangered? The bird, the water, the land, the Glaciers.
Woman hiking in mountains
Big fans of downhill hiking.

Downhill hiking on a busy trail means a lot of stepping aside for ascending hikers.

Trails are generally narrow and provide limited (and often hard to find) space to step aside.

The perk of hiking ‘unpopular’ trails is you can practically own the trail.

An additional benefit is the solitude.

Another, the vulnerability.

All told, it’s glorious.
