Many of us for various reasons don’t see our parents much. In the 20 years from my 21st birthday to the 41st, i rarely saw my Dad.

On April 10, 2001, Jack Noel took his final breath.

It was somewhere around 1:18am at the York Country Hospital and Home.

It was Good Friday.

He looked like Jesus on the Cross as he lie in bed.

How do i know?

Because God provided the extraordinary opportunity to be there in person.

When someone dies what do we say?

Infamous Magic Kingdom Honey Bucket
The Honey Bucket (for Horse excrement). A metaphor for our lives.

When someone dies what do we say?

  • So sorry.
  • Sorry for your loss.
  • Praying for you and your family.

What if:

  • You were so lucky to have her in your life.
  • What a blessing he must have been.
  • Treasure the wisdom you gained.

We are all going to die. Maybe the best defense is a good offense:

Live like you mean it.

Death isn’t what we fear. We fear that we waited too long to start living fully in our mundane, routine, daily-grind moments.

To have a thriving spirit is to have no fear of death

To have a thriving spirit is to have no fear of death.

To have no fear of death is the payoff for living fully – like you mean it – with faith, hope, and love.

To have a payoff to look forward to is the purpose for spending your life with conviction in the mystery of the unseen God.

Wow, really?

Love in their eyes

(photo: No, Cheryl didn’t say it, it was a different woman.)

Stunned. In casual conversation, she said she was ready to die.

Not a in a hopeful, or impatient way.

Simply in a peaceful, content sort of way.

It was unexpected.Wow, really?

Stunning.

Inspiring.

Never would have pegged her for having reached this milestone in life at 50 years old.
