Your people are your brand

Disney Institute Keynote Speaker
Not the same without Disney Characters.

Your people are your brand.

And the way they do their jobs directly affects your reputation.

Same with music.

The Grateful Dead never had a big hit, yet they had rabid fans – Deadheads – and they were reported to be one the highest grossing tour bands of the 60’s and 70’s.

You either loved them or you didn’t.

They loved making the kind of music that brought them the most joy.

Same with writing.

First and foremost, make sure you write in a way that brings you joy.

And write in a way that is easy for you.

Easy and joyful are good.

Really good.

Enthusiasm is contagious

Enthusiasm is contagious.

If you believe in God, let your joy, peace, and contentment speak for you, not your words.

Photo above: My love (enthusiasm) for Disney overflows at Glacier. Someone noticed and sent me a postcard.

Our habits steer our destination in life

There’s at least one Disney Castle open across our globe at any given time.

First say to yourself what you would be. And then do what you have to do. – Epictetus

Our habits steer our destination in life.

Never let your memories be bigger than your dreams.

Chasing dreams with focus and discipline has much greater odds for success than chasing dreams with waiting and doing nothing.

Walt, Steve and Jesus

Walt, Steve and Jesus.

This post is the catalyst for today’s post.

Garages are where we store our modes of transportation – cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, small boats (possibly).

Back in the day stables were the “garage”.

Where we kept our modes of transportation – donkeys and horses.

Steve Jobs started in his parent’s garage.

Walt Disney started in his uncle’s garage.

Harley Davidson started in a garage shed (here).

And then there’s Jesus – totally started in a garage.
