To each their own, spirit

To each their own.

Live and let live.

Live and learn.

Dear Son, our habits equal our results.

Live and let live, spirit

angels
An angle getting his wings? Sanibel Island for 3+ decades.

Live and let live.

Kinda like loving your neighbor as yourself.

People will love differently than you.

People will love better than you.

People will love worse than you.

People will like how you love and care.

People will dislike how you love and care.

Through it all, remember this mantra…

Live and let live.

Insight: This is what you want others to do for you as well.

Live and learn, spirit

Two souls, two bikes, honeymooning in Victoria, British Columbia
two people bicycling in the mountains
Had we never taken that bicycle honeymoon trip, we’d never have that story to tell to ourselves.

Live and learn.

You cannot expect to succeed if you are not willing to fail.

No journey in life will take you where you think it will take you.

Some journeys are better than expected.

Some are worse.

The key to avoid regret is to take as many journeys as you can.

Live.

And learn.

Let’s make “SYDK” a category, spirit

screen shot of a blog's categories list
Glacier runs third on the other websites too.

Dear Son, you don’t know this but i’ve been telling mom, years before you first heard it, “No great idea starts out great. You need ‘dumb’ ideas to get (the thought-party) started.”

As you can see in the photo above “Dear Son is the second highest used category with 500 posts.

“Quotes” is tops with 807 posts.

There isn’t a close third.

Who knew?

Not me.

Not until five minutes ago.

Dear Son,

Shit you didn’t know…

How could you?

You were just a kid.

What you didn’t know is…

How being your dad inspired and guided everything i did (and why i did it)…

Mom is Catholic.

i was Lutheran.

Told your mom, “You’re more Catholic than i am Lutheran and i don’t think God cares, so i’ll turn Catholic.”

i began RCIA (Rite of Catholic Initiation of Adults) shortly before you were born.
