Day 3 GIL, spirit

All Trails Maps screenshot
Tiny green squiggly line is actually 7 miles round-trip.

From our cabin, we drove about one mile to the turnoff for the trailhead.

Turns out, once you get to what do you think is the parking lot, there’s still two more miles on a single lane dirt road to the trailhead. It was awesome to discover this for the very first time.

Hand written thank you note and gift basket
We did not stay at Lake McDonald Lodge this year. But we were there on their opening day in May.

Be the one leading your life’s peace and contentment.

Repetition is the mother of all learning.

Day 27 WGcab, spirit

Apple Watch and trailhead sign
2:15pm trail head return. My math says we were in the wild 5.5 hours.

Only took 80 minutes to descend.

We spent a bucketload of time mountain-gazing.

Maybe we were mountain-gating.

Doesn’t matter.

We were enthralled with the vistas.
