Spiritual progress

disney customer service speaker Jeff Noel
Making progress affords a unique peace that being stuck or stalled never offers.
42-second video: At emotional peace. Plus stillness. Plus quiet. Thoughts (and ideas) like this video arrive like a good friend.

Be comfortable being uncomfortable.

Make discomfort your comfort zone.

Being uncomfortable in a growth-mindset way is the path to peace and contentment.

Some uncomfortable questions:

  1. Why am i not living in constant peace?
  2. What makes me content and is it sustainable?

Shedding brings me peace.

Shedding relieves me of unimportant things i thought i needed to be content. The less i have, the more peace and contentment i can carry.

What spiritual pain

disney Pixar inside out 2 toy figurines on a table
Not the photo i wanted to use but it will do for now. Sparing you the story.

What spiritual pain do you want in your life?

i’ll gladly take the pain of having a heart that never rests from continuously thinking about better ways to serve where i can and when i can. Church is every step. Nothing fancy. Simply good and decent energy all day, every day.

What pain do you want to avoid?

i want to avoid the pain that stems from a lack of: gratitude, surrender, patience, and forgiveness. The pain from emptiness and lack of vibrant purpose.

What’s in your body, reprise

This morning’s walk. Casual pace. By design..

What’s in your body?

Talking passionately and consistently about physical vibrancy can be overbearing for some and liberating for others.

My uncluttered mind helps me clearly see who to concern myself with. First and foremost, the person in my mirror. Secondly, anyone who wants my insights.

My uncluttered mind helps me clearly see who not to concern myself with. Literally everyone.

Those i concern myself with are always within reach.

Big cloud at sunset
While selecting this photo from my voluminous iPhone photo library, i mistook it for Glacier’s Continental Divide profile from far away. After adding it and starting this post, realized it’s my backyard tree line from our roof. Context, focus, and randomness all work together for a greater good.

The satisfaction from risk taking dwarfs the satisfaction from waiting and doing nothing.

Spiritually out of office alert

Spiritually out of office alert…

Assuming we have agreed our out-of-office alerts have ample opportunity for helpful details, let’s proceed farther.

What opportunities remain for going the extra inch in simple, scalable, out-of-office alerts?

Look no farther than the Employee Pillar.

History, customs, icons, values.

Can the way you craft your enterprise-wide out of office alerts embed cultural DNA?

Assuming yes, what is the low-hanging fruit?

The lamp?

“Pure Nursing”?

Galen’s colors?

Other taglines, words, images, quotes, history, values?

Our journey to understand how seemingly insignificant, robotic (even dogmatic) our out-of-office alerts are, suddenly, we see small details — important Galen details — that add Galen ‘Magic’ to the customer’s experience.

All this opportunity to surprise and delight, and it’s coming from a seemingly insignificant OOO alert.

Wow!
