Disney Institute Customer Service Keynote Speakers

Disney Innovation Keynote Speakers
Hidden Mickeys in the necktie?

There are four world-class basics that make up the Disney Customer Service architecture.

i have been teaching our Son (now 18) these Disney blueprints since he was six years old.

We are both more compassionate human beings because of this student-teacher-student relationship.

Everything i learned, did, and taught from 32 years as an insider and two-time Walt Disney Lifetime Achievement recipient has been synthesized into brilliantly simplistic DNA.

No one i know has deconstructed Disney’s operational DNA and reconstructed it in such a useful way.

It’s as if there has always been a (divine?) plan for me to wait until i was 40 to begin a (speaking) career i never saw coming and never knew i was born to fulfill.

It inspires, excites, and motivates me to offer such a unique professional development opportunity to the world.

Disney Institute Customer Service Keynote Speakers, my friends and former colleagues, will share a corporately-approved speech, and i highly recommend either of us to help you.

To receive or not to receive

Delta airlines constructive feedback
The customer service fails occurred on November 11. Five days later with a level head, i captured the essence. Yesterday, November 29, i sent an email. Hoping Delta receives the email’s truth with an open and respectful mind.

To receive or not to receive.

The truth hurts.

The truth can set you free.

The truth is, both can be true if you allow the potential.

(There’s also the potential do to the opposite; to not feel hurt and to not be set free.)

If you are ever gifted with a tough truth from someone, thank them.

They’ve given you powerful information.

They’ve been generous and kind.

They’ve done you a favor.

Caring truth-tellers are rare.

Welcome them with open arms.

Cherish them.

The anxiety i feel at any given moment

Disney Creativity Speakers
Last night i had fun shooting a couple short videos for an International client. i set the bar high enough that i could reach it, but not so high i’d need professional help. Know your limits, yet if you can enjoy it, stretch yourself ever so slightly out of your comfort zone.

The anxiety i feel at any given moment is the combined results of how i think, how i nurture my physical and spiritual wellness, how i apply myself at work, and how organized i am at home.

All initial transformation efforts seem insurmountable because it involves so much change.

It’s overwhelming.

And like physical transformation, transforming our emotional IQ requires slow and steady application of the basics.

Practicing patience, kindness, generosity, forgiveness, compassion, faith, hope, thanksgiving…

Habits and rituals determine our mastery or misery.

Consistently attacked by a busy schedule?

Hang glider failure
On ABC Evening News with David Muir last night, a report of a tourist mishap during a Swiss Alps hang gliding flight.

Hang glider failure
The pilot failed to strap the tourist to the hang glider. It took a while until the pilot could land the aircraft. The tourist broke his wrist on the fall and tore his bicep – how he hung on for so long is a miracle. They were at heights that had he lost his grip he would have died. Was the pilot in a hurry?

The drive to do good is consistently attacked by the pressure and stress of a busy schedule.

It is infinitely easier to succumb to this daily pressure using the three main human go-to responses to reduce or eliminate the friction (pain).

Distraction, entertainment, and medication.

This becomes a habit quickly.

Be careful.

Better to fight it while the fire is small than after it has become a raging wildfire.

Focus on the lesson, not the emotion

willing to fail
Willing to fail? Heck yeah.

Focus on what you learned, not how emotional the learning was.

If you focus on the perceived pain you felt by not knowing better from the start, you miss the joy experienced from learning an insightful lesson.
