Imagine two great friends. Best buds for as long as they can remember, having a great time on vacation, or maybe a mission trip, or simply having dinner during a routine international business meeting.
And suddenly…
Captive.
A situation few of us can even comprehend.
And to make it worse, the captors announce an ultimatum.
Both good friends must decide. Only one decision needs to be made.
But both will have to decide….
Anybody out there struggle with addictions?

There are, even if you can’t recognize them.
Tonight, there’s a get together of old friends, celebrating a recent wedding.
It’s BYOB, and some will drink adult beverages and loosen up their inhibitions and enjoy the buzz that alcohol so reliably brings.
Which always reminds me of one of life’s greatest lessons: Others may, you may not.

Dear Son,
People are jealous of successful people, generally speaking. As you journey through life, look around and observe this phenomenon. Wish it wasn’t so, but it is.
As you find your way through life, you’ll be tempted to ease up, to slow down, to back off. Mostly because, it’s just easier than creating waves or controversy.
Sometimes, this is exactly what you should do.
And sometimes it’s the last thing you should do.
You won’t know which one to choose until it’s too late. That’s why life is hard.
