Only when i’m in the mood

willing to fail
Willing to fail? Heck yeah, but only when i’m in the mood.

Only when i’m in the mood.

Failure.

Bring on the risk.

Broke a barrier an hour ago.

WTF – willing to fail.

PS. Photo, screenshot from LinkedIn yesterday. Yes, yesterday. How cool is that timing?

A Disney Customer Service Keynote Speech in Vail, Colorado

Disney Keynote Speakers
The photographer (you know who) was stopped in traffic.

As i flew to Vail (through Denver) yesterday, i knew today’s posts would be themed to Walt Disney’s death (and life).

And as i prepare to leave the Vail hotel room to deliver an 8:00am Disney Customer Service keynote speech, Walt Disney’s passion and disposition for doing the impossible will fuel the first 90 minutes i’m given the privilege to open my mouth and say important, insightful, and transformational things.

Pssst, the boss is spending the night

Walt Disney's apartment lamp at night
Every night since December 15, 1966.

Walt Disney's apartment lamp at night
The light was Guest Relations way of telling the entire Cast that Walt was spending the night.

Pssst, the boss is spending the night.

The boss spends every night with you.

And every day.

The boss is there for your every breath, every move, every thought.

You get this, right?

It ain’t the Magic

Disney Keynote Speaker
My knees and shoulders were getting tired enough to make me have to physically take a break and stretch.

The photos with Disney character figurines are cool.

The photos look like the process was quick and easy.

Anything but.

If anyone told you how many hours i spent thinking, planning, deciding, arranging, traveling, organizing, and photographing, you’d be like, “No way.”

Same with the daily number of hours spent writing.

Town Square is such a huge wow

Disney Institute Keynote Speaker
The extra inch is something i operationalized at Disney Institute. Operationalize means you make something a habit.

Once our Guests enter through either tunnel beneath the Walt Disney World Railroad train station, they find themselves in Town Square.

The sounds, the smells, the landscaping, the architecture, the friendly and happy Cast, all of it – a complete immersion stimulating all our senses.

By design.

We pay as much attention to what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste as we for what you don’t see, hear, or smell.

Town Square is such a huge wow.

But, there is something missing.

You finally realize you don’t see what you expected to see – not realizing it is missing until you’ve adjusted to the wonderful space called Town Square.
