Who’s the most powerful and accessible ally you can afford?

 

What are we afraid of?

Who is our closest ally to fight that fear?

I imagine people’s answer’s are obvious and flow out of their mouths instantaneously.

And we all pass through a phase (milage may vary) in which we don’t have quick, ready answers to the big questions – this phase can last decades and for some, a lifetime.

Mind, body, spirit, so let’s give a moment to think about our work today, punch in here.

Funny how quickly we can become afraid of things we don’t need to worry about. But it was almost 5pm and Paris rush hour on the metro (subway) had begun. Neither credit card worked and I had no Euros, only limited American cash. So no matter what method I might find to get back, I had no way to pay for it.

I was also tired and hungry and didn’t speak the language. And for the first time in years, legitimately scared. This was very unfamiliar territory.

After the YMCA sponsored event, hundreds of people mixed and mingled, but relatively briefly, because most had to be at work by 9am. The Guests of honor would be long gone by the time I exited. But wait, could it be? Yes Patrick Henry Hughes and his Father. But what would I say? (too afraid to say anything, really) So I watched them disappear around the corner.
