The handful of memorable days

We can all say we’ve had the ride of a lifetime, yes?

We each have a handful of days we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

There are fewer memorable work days than home days.

Why?

Perhaps because fun and excitement are generally considered frivolous at work, yet at home it’s what we continuously wish and plan for.

To the past

Disney Keynote Speaker
This headshot was taken three days ago. Was in desperate need of a high-resolution photo.

To the past.

You are a great teacher, but only when we never let our past memories be bigger than our future dreams.

Dear Past, it’s because of you that 3,652 consecutive days of consecutive blog writing have accumulated. Thanks again for your consistency.

Season 1 and Season 2 may go away

Disney podcast
A text exchange between Jody Maberry and me last night, seen hours after we recorded Episode 13.

Season 1 and Season 2 may go away.

Why?

Because If Disney Ran Your Life podcast is in practice-mode.

Season 1 has a working title (as of today, March 1, 2019) of, “The Basement Tapes”.

Season 2 doesn’t have a working title but “Playing free gigs” comes to mind when i think about a group of teenagers starting a band in a home basement (Season 1) and they eventually have enough confidence to start playing a couple gigs for free (Season 2?), just to get in front of an audience.

Season 3 will become the official release of “If Disney Ran Your Life” Podcast.

It may make sense to remove Seasons 1 and 2 from iTunes and Stitcher. Time will tell.

While today is this, it is also almost this

While today is this (Disney retirement 4th anniversary), it is also almost this…

The 10th anniversary of incorporating Mid Life Celebration, LLC.

So yeah, January 1, 2009, i officially registered my small business and got a tax ID.

The first six years had no revenue.

Can you imagine?

No, seriously, can you imagine?

i was still at Disney Institute and was in the slow and steady “build an asset” phase with blogging, social media, and writing/publishing the first book.

PS. i know it can be weird trying to read stuff that happened 60 days ago, but much of the other media we consume is similarly produced – live, but recorded, and then aired later. That’s all this is.
