18-second video: A college fraternity brother is getting conflicting results about CJD. While he awaits final answers, doing what i can to remind him and his wife that we are thinking of, and praying for, them.
What does it look like?
What does what look like?
What does “living like you mean it” look like?
Living like you mean it looks a lot like snowflakes. No two snowflakes are exactly the same (as the saying goes anyway). No two people, no two ways, no two actions are exactly the same.
However, make a pile of snowflakes and it simply looks white.
Make a pile of “living like you mean it” actions and it simply looks invisible to most people. Or, if not invisible, perhaps it simply looks like good and decent living.
Yet one of your actions can have a loving effect on only two people. And only those two people will ever know that in that moment you were “living like you mean it”.
Insight: A busy life can make over-focusing tempting to ignore or delay (possibly forever).

After quitting blogging in 16 days, the on-deck goodbye is Glacier.
By the way, quitting Glacier has a unique context. Almost like a disclaimer.
The plan is to quit the ‘prolific’ annual stays in Glacier.
The plan is to remain open to future, shorter, visits. Perhaps annually. Time will tell.
The idea of visiting for only a week or two in a given year seems uncomfortable weird. Simultaneously, it feels way better than saying ‘never returning’.

Have seen this many times passing through the Atlanta airport, and walking (underground) between terminals instead of riding the train. Today, because i had buffer time as i walked, i stopped and read several history murals. Reading the quote near the top, i almost cried.
The Universe constantly offers information, lessons, tests, and so on.
When i’m at my busiest, i rarely notice.
This is why i began driving the speed limit. And why i prefer to walk.
Over-focused on being present by padding my ‘calendar’ with lots of extra buffer time.
This trip’s over-focusing facilitates The Universe’s constant offerings: information, lessons, tests, and so on. It’s fun to appreciate the ones i notice.

Today is a gift. Want to know the value of a single day, ask someone who’s counting their’s.
Only three things happen naturally in people’s spirits: beliefs development, testing, death. Everything else takes a growth mindset.
Spiritual vibrancy is easier with a growth mindset: intentionally over-focusing on peace and contentment in a way that your younger self under-focused on or ignored.
