Such an insignificant life in the big scheme of things

releasing household bug — At 6am yesterday, a small silverfish (bug) was in our master bathroom sink. The old me would have grabbed a tissue and quickly killed it. The new me caught it and released it outside. The blue paper is a post-it note.

Maybe it was too much concern.

i may never know for sure.

All i know is i felt better about myself for what i did.

PS. Thanks to our son (17) for inspiring me to .think .differently about bugs.

Who are you upsetting?

Who are you upsetting?

If you aren’t upsetting anyone, you’re not making an impact on the status quo.

i dare you to look me in the eye and tell me you adore mediocrity.

Maybe the only people you need to upset are your relatives who’ve slowly and quietly walked away from believing in a spiritual community – the same relatives who are becoming more fearful of death instead of seeing a new horizon with a glorious promise you can only realize through death – and a lifetime of gratitude, service, faith, hope, and love.

Fully grounded in reality?

Today’s all-day session will begin with an hour of client-led content and then i lead the second piece that takes us to mid-morning break.

The first thing i share after saying good morning pleasantries is this, “Everyone in this room, myself included, is in one of three places. Going through a hell no one knows about, just came out of a hell no one knew about, or is, unbeknownst to them, about to go into a hell no one will know about. And some of us are in two, possibly all three of these places. So please know when i start talking about Magic, pixie dust, and excellence, i’m fully grounded in reality.”
