Father I have sinned. In my thoughts and in my words. In what I done and what I have failed to do.
Sound familiar?
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.
Do you think about this casually? Relentlessly?
What if you did?

Human’s get hungry several times each day. No brainer, right?
We are always needing to feed ourselves.
Enter the rat race and insanely busy schedules. Enter fast food establishments. Enter television.
The other day I saw a Burger King commercial, touting the toys in the kid’s meal packages.

“So real, it’s almost, real.”
Unexplainably, I immediately thought about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit – about Faith.

Throw your heart into it, and the rest of you will follow.
Tomorrow, New Year’s Eve. The next day, 2010.
Are ya ready for it? Here’s my plan:

God with us.

God is with us.

The even bigger challenge? To do this long after the Christmas reminders are gone.
Dear God, where are you?
Don’t you have anything to say?
Why won’t you listen?
And why don’t you answer my prayers?

Be still. Be quiet. Listen. God’s presence surrounds us. Every minute of every day.
Whether we listen or not.
