What is it about Christmas that makes a Christian’s heart sing with Joy? What is it about midlife that stereotypically provides crisis? In both, there is anticipation. In dreaming of doing something great there can also be this paradoxical anticipation. We can hope or dread. Each of us has earned the right to be the judge of greatness. And we have earned the right to bring it. What we haven’t earned (yet) is the guts to commit. Go.

Do You Ever Wish Your Religious Center Thanked You More For Your Time, Talent and Treasure?

Look! The religious volunteers, they’re breathing! Ever feel as long as you fog the mirror, you’ve got the job?

Do you ever wish the good folks at your Religious Center paid more attention to you and thanked you more often for your gifts of time, talent and treasure?

Sometimes I feel like no one notices.

And then. And then I worry (panic) that our Pastors feel the same way.
