Yesterday was the Catholic Church calendar’s “Epiphany”.

Epiphanies are rocket fuel.

Here’s to your blast off with new awareness.

Waiting and doing nothing are the twin siblings of self-destruction.

Twenty years into a 30+ year Disney career, i had an epiphany about work/life balance.

Searching unsuccessfully for a role model at Disney, it hit me.

i must figure this out for myself.

These five daily blogs are a manifestation of my strategy and tactics.

The epiphany is that the less in “less equals more” is that less means your essential must haves. Simply having less is not the insight.

Today’s question is inspired by today being the Epiphany.

Others may recognize Three Kings Day.

Church aside, when was our last epiphany?

Epiphany..

a (1) : a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something
(2) : an intuitive grasp of reality through something (such as an event) usually simple and striking
(3) : an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure
b : a revealing scene or moment

Three reasons not calling home is important and empowering

Three reasons why not calling home Thanksgiving Day is one of the most important and empowering things for your self-esteem:

1. You realize when the phone doesn’t ring, it’s because no one called.

2. You realize that everyone in the world with a job is busy, especially on Thanksgiving Day.

3. You have an epiphany you wouldn’t have had if you had called.

The holiday epiphany reveals that each person is absolutely as capable and responsible to call as you.

And as a bonus, you understand that whatever your Family circumstances are, everyone may actually be okay with them.

Bottomline: when the phone doesn’t ring on either end, no one needs to feel guilt. Liberating discovery.

No, seriously, we ARE here to change the world

The Catholic Church uses volunteers to conduct Mass. So jeff noel volunteers his public speaking experience, as a Catholic Lector. Typically, The Old Testament and The New Testament passages are read by laypeople and the Priest or Deacon reads The Gospel.

Baptized Lutheran and converted to Catholicism (1999 at age 40), jeff noel quickly saw the stereotypical (but well-intentioned) going-through-the-motions sound of a Lector who reads the way they’ve grown up listening. This led to a Sunday epiphany.
