Should we claim ourself as the happiest human on the planet?

Yes, in theory, we would each claim ourselves.

Is life perfect?

Not even close.

No one’s is.

That’s the great equalizer.

The devil lures us into comparing.

Comparing is the activity of a weak person.

We are all weak, until we decide to put in the time and effort to not be.

The conversation between the executive and the line worker yesterday entered the philosophical realms of what is worth more.

Mailing a $50,000 donation check to charity or being the volunteer to hand the fresh cup of coffee to the homeless woman.

Being close enough to deliver, appreciate, and receive immediate joy in her face?

Or…

Visualizing from your living room how many people’s lives are changed from your massive donation.

Tough call.

I propose we should know our answer intimately.

It’s risky when we do things radically different than the way our family, friends, and even society in general traditionally does them.

Hitch-hiked 600 miles with two bicycles, $200, and no deadline or destination to be concerned with.

No amount of money, nor fancy location can buy happiness.

We know this.
