Almost instantly, “I’m taking their senior yearbook picture and then we’re doing a class photo too.”

Another guy, who i later discovered was the boy’s Dad, offered to take a couple pictures of me doing my art.

Not gonna lie

Lake McDonald Boat House — Make the first right.

Village Inn at Apgar. Have stayed here many times. Every room has a spectacular view.

Not gonna lie.

Last night tested my peace of mind.

i’m literally in the middle of nowhere.

Alone.

Sure, the Boathouse has doors with locks and heat and all the stuff our house at Walt Disney World has.

But it is so quiet and so desolate this time of year.

It feels like i’m 100 miles from help if i need it.

Having WiFi and ATT helps.

Eventually, i feel asleep.

Woke up at 2:45am (4:45am Orlando time), excited for a great day.

And OMG, because 13 hours of today have happened already, it’s all I can do to keep my mouth shut about it.

Spoiler for tomorrow. Today has been an incredible day.

Sprauge fire 2017 update — September 22, 2017 update. The private residents next to Lake McDonald Lodge may return to their cabins. They must remain ready to evacuate at any time.

A few weeks ago, Lake McDonald Lodge and the adjacent community of private residences around Lake McDonald were at risk of being destroyed by the “Sprauge Fire”.

i leave in four days to return to Glacier National Park September 27-30.

i want to see the Mountains dusted in snow one last time before i die.

Gratitude is your most powerful “weapon”

Booked a four-day trip yesterday, but mistakenly entered it as a three-day trip. Discovered the error 90 minutes after booking. Delta wasn’t going to charge a change fee, but to rebook it the fare increased almost 50%.

Yikes.

A 50% increase in less than two hours.

Sure.

Algorithms.

For only three nights, i decided to cancel.

So grateful i could cancel without a penalty.

Gratitude eliminated any frustration (for price inflation) i could have summoned because i focused on what i gained, not what i lost.
