Back To Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods.

Does he deserve forgiveness? Will you, if you haven’t, forgive him?

Or is he unforgivable? The lying, cheating, dirty, no good scum of the earth. Is that it?

Tempting isn’t it? Difficult, isn’t it? Will we find it impossible?

All things are possible for him who trusts in the Lord. Is that a figment of my imagination, or did I read or hear about this somewhere?

Okay, so here’s my final answer, and it comes straight from Jesus’ mouth, “Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.”

Blessed Passing

Have been following a friend’s recent journey with cancer. Her brother-in-law, who lives with her and her husband, was recently diagnosed with cancer – seems like less than a month ago.

Waking at 3:30AM this morning, with coffee in hand, fired up the laptops for the morning routine. Checked several social media “Favorites”, including Facebook.

My friend posted this update regarding her beloved brother-in-law: “He walked softly out the door with Jesus a few minutes ago”.

Moments like these are constant reminders that life is fragile, and an incomprehensible gift.

That life is painfully challenging and gloriously wonderful.

Autumnal Equinox

The Autumnal equinox comes and goes every September. It happened again yesterday. Most people never notice.

One might even ask, “Who cares”?

Realizing this while eating lunch at the Salt Lake International Airport, I took a moment to reflect on the changing of seasons and the passage of time.

That’s what these seasonal milestones do, they mark time in a bigger picture than seconds, minutes, days or weeks.

Seasons. Four every year. Big deal.

Several friends have recently found out they don’t have much time left. Life is seasonal too. We’re born. We live. We pass on.

Does anyone even notice?

“What would you do differently if you had ten years to live? Not weeks or months, but a decade”?

Start soon. The next Autumnal equinox is right around the corner…..

Final Answer? Final Post?

OK, my final answer – this is my final post for May 2009.

Duh, it’s May 31, so of course this is the final post this month.

Yes, and!

And moving forward, I’ll be posting periodically, rather than daily.

I’m now just 60 days away from Finland.

Expect some cool, inspiring, and intriguing stuff at Lane 8.

Over ten years ago, I started to get in shape by doing one push-up per day.

The first two years, I also tried to jog, but all I could do was walk.

Now here it is, one week before my 50th birthday, and I’m heading to the Master’s Track & Field World Championships in Finland, in 60 days.

I got to this level of accomplishment by applying what I teach.

Seriously.

Hey, I better get going. Promised myself a nap. I better get started. Carpe diem, jeff noel, aka jungle jeff 🙂

Faith, Hope and Love

Faith, Hope and Love.

That’s what keeps me going. That’s what has me posting to five blogs each day.

Here’s a reality check though.

My Go Daddy stats show that jeff noel.org is the least visited of the five blogs. I’ll be adjusting my posting frequency and re-evaluating my strategy.

Meanwhile, I’ll post here everyday through May. May 30 & 31, and then……summer vacation. Yee-haw! jeff noel 🙂
