Back To Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods.

Does he deserve forgiveness? Will you, if you haven’t, forgive him?

Or is he unforgivable? The lying, cheating, dirty, no good scum of the earth. Is that it?

Tempting isn’t it? Difficult, isn’t it? Will we find it impossible?

All things are possible for him who trusts in the Lord. Is that a figment of my imagination, or did I read or hear about this somewhere?

Okay, so here’s my final answer, and it comes straight from Jesus’ mouth, “Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.”

Forgive Tiger Woods?

Do you? Can you? Will you?

Forgive Tiger Woods?
Forgive Tiger Woods?

Traveling all last week, I heard many negative and malicious comments about Tiger Woods. There’s a fairly rampant, and unfavorable, judgement on Tiger Woods, the Golfer.

And when I took this photo, I was actually in a negative judgement mindset as well.

And then it hit me. What about Tiger Woods, the man, not the golfer. The human being, just like you and me.

If Tiger Woods asks God for forgiveness, do you think God will deny Tiger Woods?

Would God deny you forgiveness?

Then why would Tiger be any different?

Then why would I be any different?

Opportunity isn’t always obvious.

Know-It-All?

Just when you think you know it all, you can quickly be reminded what a pathetic thought that is.

I was writing for an hour this morning before it hit me.

One-hundred days. Remember yesterday’s post? Blah, blah, blah, right?

Well, how quickly I can falter.

So a few minutes ago, upon realizing, even after 100 days, I didn’t do what I was so full of yesterday, I went to the foot of our bed and got down on my knees.

Don’t know where I’d be without forgiveness. Seriously.

It’s better than anything in our medicine cabinet.

Have a GREAT day. It’s up to you. Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

PS. Take two aspirin and call me in the morning……. or, just get down on your knees and forgive yourself.

Some mistakes are easier to make

Mistakes!

We all make them. We all are “victims” of them. We can never escape that reality that we’ll continue to make more.

Maybe all we can hope for is two simple things.

1. To try to make fewer mistakes as we grow.

2. To forgive ourselves (and others) when a mistake happens.

Case in point, five minutes ago, at 6:47AM, I realized I’ve been working since 5:00Am, and forgot to kneel and pray after waking. Remember the post a few days ago where I challenged myself to start every day on my knees?

Anyway, I forgot this morning. So I simply forgave myself, walked back to the bedroom, knelt and prayed.

Easy.

Our dog followed me from our office to the bedroom. With my eyes closed, I could hear him enter. I extended my hand out.

I knew he would accept it and place his muzzle on my hand. Then he nestled right up next to me.

He’s so predictable. His love is an unconditional love. My goal in life is to become the kind of person he thinks I am.

Do you have a big goal? Hope so. Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
