jeff noel Sobriety

Yesterday, United States President Obama. Today, Orlando’s jeff noel.

Different people, same word.

Sobriety.

December 31, 2001. New Year’s Eve. The biggest “drinking day” of the entire year.

But not this day, December 31, 2001. Not this man. Not ever again.

Sobriety.

Cry Baby?

Cry Baby? I guess I am.

Driving this morning to Orlando International airport, listening to the “Z”, I cried three separate times.

Why? The music, especially the lyrics, really speak to me.

They reach a point in my spirit, my soul, that makes me feel so blessed to have everything I need.

In my weakness, I am made strong. It’s the same for everyone.

How do you get there? Many ways to be sure. My favorite is to listen to www.zradio.com

Wish there was an easy way to tell others how to get there, but there isn’t. For me, it’s been a helluva journey.

Been to hell and back. Twice. For real.

While I love Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Buffett, Three Doors Down, Pink Floyd, etc., I love Z88.3 so much more.

To live without my music would be impossible to do, ‘cuz in this would of troubles, my music pulls me through.

Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Mother Teresa & Jimmy Buffett?

What do Mother Teresa and Jimmy Buffett have have in common?

Excellent question, because, at first glance, the default answer might be, “Absolutely nothing”!

Upon closer inspection however, it literally defines my brand. Seriously.

Every day I wake up with two big goals – to save the world and to savor the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Anyway, I better get going, someone at a party needs my help.

Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Come Monday?

Come Monday, it’ll be all right. Come Monday, I’ll be holding you tight“.

Remember that song, Come Monday, by Jimmy Buffett? No worries if you don’t.

Jimmy Buffett is a master storyteller. I have every CD he’s made, except a few of his greatest hits and Live CD’s. All told, it’s like three dozen.

We are all story tellers, aren’t we?

Whether we admit it or not, we are.

I’m working really hard today, Monday, to tell a great story. You in? carpe diem, jeff 🙂
